It’s been big news in the real estate world for the last month. The Housing Stability and Tenant Protection Act of 2019 is officially in effect and rent laws have changed pretty dramatically. This is definitely going to impact tenants, landlords and the industry at large. With rents skyrocketing and it becoming more and more difficult for many middle class residents to remain in the city, this will hopefully do some good for those struggling. We love our borough and value and support the socioeconomic diversity that makes Brooklyn unique and wonderful. Hopefully we can hold onto that and make it a more affordable place to live for all.
