Today Without Women.

As most of you know today is the National Women’s Strike, “A Day Without Women”. Many women across New York are participating in the strike, which is wonderful, but it’s been a little controversial as well.  Many can’t afford to take a day off.  There were also questions about whether teachers and substitutes should strike. We think it’s lovely for those who are able to join this protest by staying home yet completely understandable for those who are not able or decided they should not.  We came across this Bustle article that talks about this and also offers up ways that those still working today can still support the women’s movement.  The most important thing to remember is that we are all in this together!

Also, just so you know I didn’t write this today, it was scheduled earlier. I am extremely grateful to have flexible hours.
