If you are one of the lucky ones that get to stay here for the Holidays then you may have a daunting task on your hands, food shopping around the holidays. The Gowanus Whole Foods has been out of a lot of items, such as their whole spiral-cut ham, for a while now and we noticed that Trader Joes has also run out of things like holiday decorative items and we’re sure the crowds will be pouring out of there today and tomorrow. Fairway is always a good bet. The shear size of the place makes it feel less crowded than most stores and they re-stock pretty well. Also shopping at your neighborhood butcher, veggie markets, and boutique grocers is sometimes less stressful than hanging out in the giant grocery store herd.
