Today until 5pm, with an hour long break between 1pm and 2pm, you can tour the Amistad for free at Pier 11 of the Atlantic Basin in Red Hook. The ship will be docked alongside PortSide New York’s Mary A. Whalen, which will also be available to tour presenting African American Maritime Heritage programming. This is a wonderful opportunity and if you miss out today, don’t worry. The ship will be docked on Saturday August 11th as well so mark that in your calendar.
