On April 5th Grant Cutler’s interdisciplinary three-day exhibition Thoughts Becoming Loud opens at the Realty Collective Gallery, Compère Collective, in Red Hook, Brooklyn.
In Thoughts Becoming Loud, Cutler explores the complexity of a moment through impressionistic multimedia works: an interactive portrait, a small-edition large-scale heavyweight magazine, and oversized prints.
The collection centers on a digital generative composition, offering users a kaleidoscopic window into one woman’s mind. Along with selected prints and a volume of photos 5 years in the making, the works evoke an emotional story of a moment in time: the collision of memory, cognition, and the unconscious.
