Seasonally Focused Camperdown Elm in South Slope.

We love trying new restaurants and, though it took us a little while to make it over to Camperdown Elm on 7th Avenue and 15th Street, we finally tried them out for dinner on Friday night and enjoyed every bite (and sip!).

They have been open since late June and have already become a neighborhood favorite.  It was packed even though we arrived well past the peak hours.  For one they have an excellent wine list and cocktail menu.  We highly recommend the Vale of Cashmere, which is gin, sage-infused vodka, Icelandic aquavit, honey and lemon.  Their dinner menu is seasonal and has a good mixture of meat, fish and vegetarian options.  We had oysters and fried muffins to start and lamb with carrots and pinenuts as an entree along with the cauliflower entree (photo included below).  Every bite was complex and flavorful. The kind of meal that gets better with each bite!
