MORE ABOUT ELLIPSIS RARE BOOKS:

Ellipsis Rare Books is the project of Andrew Lenoir, a historical journalist and bookseller who was a teenage obituarist in East Hampton, New York before being introduced to antiquarian books by Glenn Horowitz and John McWhinnie.

An undergraduate Lovecraft scholar and former student head of the Charles Watts Book Arts program at the John Carter Brown Library at Brown University, he remains passionate about history, weird fiction, and esoterica. A presenter at the 2014 Necronomicon Conference in Providence, Rhode Island and former speechwriter, he holds an MFA in nonfiction writing from Columbia University where he led an undergraduate course on history writing. In 2019, he had the pleasure of attending the Colorado Antiquarian Book Seminar. In 2022, Ellipsis Rare Books was accepted into the International Online Booksellers’ Association (IOBA).

His research on books, authors, and other topics often turns into articles and essays which can be read in magazines, academic journals and websites like Fine Books and Collections, The Brown Journal of History, Atlas ObscuraMental Floss, and All That’s Interesting.
