Business’s Coming to Brooklyn, by Yanique Berry.

Brooklyn’s growth and evolution have been unprecedented.  Manhattan is no longer the choice for many folks and more and more families are choosing to stay in the borough rather than moving out the the suburbs of Long Island and New Jersey. So naturally the next step would be the evolution of commercial space. Brooklyn is becoming a great option for many small businesses and start up companies to have office space. With the ongoing redevelopment of neighborhoods like Downtown Brooklyn and DUMBO there will be viable options for companies who don’t need a huge amount of space.  For residents this can mean less commuting into Manhattan if there are more local job opportunities. For college students in the area this can also open up more internship opportunities close to campus and home. Check out this New York Post blog about this very subject.
