A Translucent Sculpture Turns Invisible by Arthur Mallett

Nicholas Papadakis’ sculpture of a translucent child that had been hovering on Prospect Park Lake was reported missing on Sunday.  It had been installed as part of the Art Slope festival, a multi-arts festival in Park Slope.
Luckily, the sculpture was recovered by two teenagers who discovered it in the woods.  It appears to be an act of petty vandals who must have been transfixed by the strange sight Saturday night. For more on the story, click here
Art Slope continues through Sunday September 25th. You can go view the sculpture before it disappears again. While you’re checking out the art you can enjoy all the neighborhood has to offer too.  You may just fall in love and want to settle down in the area, there is a great convertible two bedroom apartment available on Lincoln Place!
