As part of our celebration of the holidays — and as a thank you to the larger community that supports us all year long — Realty Collective is proud to feature the work of key non-profit organizations making the borough (and beyond) better every day. We’ve selected 10 non-profits to highlight and we encourage everyone to learn a bit about their respective missions and, if possible, to join us in making a small monetary donation to further their work. We thank them for everything they do and thank you for supporting a small, woman-owned Brooklyn business for nearly 20 years.
We’re nothing if not fans of supporters of Red Hook, so this next organization (of which we’re a proud member) was a natural fit. The Red Hook Business Alliance (RHBA), established in 2019, is more than an organization; it’s a lifeline connecting manufacturers, retailers, restaurants, artists, professionals, and non-profits in a shared mission to preserve and enhance the economic vitality of Red Hook.
If you’re at all familiar with our home base, you know it’s many things: a working waterfront, a nerve center for the arts, a destination for foodies from across the city, a maker hub, and so much more. Not to mention the everyday businesses — the supermarkets, bodegas, and mom-and-pop stores — that make a neighborhood truly livableIn other words, Red Hook is a lot of moving parts. And all those parts (and people!) need support, which is why we’re so honored to highlight the work of the RHBA.
If you’re a Red Hook business owner who’d like to be a part of this nurturing network, you can get involved here. Annual membership rates are tiered based on revenue or budget and are extremely accessible. We encourage you to check it out!
