A Trip to the Prospect Park Zoo.

Many wouldn’t think to go to the zoo in Prospect Park in the middle of February but we’d like to argue that it’s the best time to go!! We visited over the weekend and the animals were out and enjoying the cool temperatures. Over the weekend they were celebrating Lunar New Year and had an array of fun activities for kids, including a calligraphy area, Chinese New Year animal scavenger hunt, and a puppet show!
Another reason to visit in the winter months is that there aren’t crowds on the weekends like there are in the warmer months so it’s a very relaxing experience. We think people forget the a good portion of the exhibits are actually indoors and nice and warm.
