Brooklyn schools are almost out for the summer. This is the last full week and next Wednesday, June 28th, will be the final day for students. Summer begins! If you are looking for a fun activity or camp for your little one here are a few ideas:
Camps: Though many may be full already, here is great guide to go through and find out. For a more affordable option, your local YMCA offers camps for all ages and is generally half the price as most. For something different, how about a game playing camp? Brooklyn Game Lab has a summer camp which consists of chess, board games, role playing and physical games. You can sign up for a daily or weekly basis.
Activities: Parks with water fountains is an obvious option for a free activity. You can also cool off in your local library and participate in their kids programs without spending a dime. Other ideas for a hot day are indoor playgrounds. Our favorite is Twinkle in Williamsburg. It is a creative play space that will inspire imaginary play and wow your children. Another favorite summer activity is going to see the Brooklyn Cyclones in Coney Island. The tickets are cheap, the food is kid-friendly and they have fun events like this Paw Patrol themed game this weekend.
Whatever you do this summer, stay hydrated, safe and have fun!!
