Spotlight on Tabla Rasa Gallery in Sunset Park.

This amazing gallery is located on the second floor of a turn of the century carriage house at 224 48th Street in Sunset Park. The building itself exudes a historical spirit and the details give it wonderful character. Gallery directors Joseph and Audrey Anastasi love their space for exactly that reason. The architecture and history of the building is only part of what makes this spot so alluring. The work is beautiful and the owners themselves were interesting and charismatic with a real “old time New Yorker” vibe. The first floor is rented out to a place called Fine Cocoa Products and the second floor consists of the gallery as well as an art studio in the back. They have also worked with SBIDC and hosted events at the gallery. It’s really a unique and lovely space for an event. You can see more pictures and read more on their website.
