So many new spots open up and go unnoticed in this area due to the vast turn over on Smith Street. We like to take some time to spotlight spaces that have opened in the last year, try them out, and report back. Brooklyn Pizza Market at 267 Smith has been open since last fall but we finally got around to stopping in. They have a lovely brick interior and serve up a pretty good slice. It’s very easy to pass by without noticed it’s a restaurant but they’ve done a nice job of making the exterior nice and simple. And when you do stop to glance in their windows it’s much more inviting that your average pizza parlor. We tried their margherita slice and it had the perfect ratio of sauce to cheese.
