Sahadi’s Will Expand to Industry City

Sahadi’s market has not only been a neighborhood favorite in the Brooklyn Heights/Cobble Hill area for several decades (since 1948!), it was written up last year by Epicurious as being the “best grocery store in America“. Wow, that is amazing! Known for their baskets of delicious fresh and dried fruits, nuts, and spices (see photos above of fresh green almonds from California), it’s been a destination Middle Eastern market for New York residents from all over. We learned recently that they are planning to expand and were delighted to hear that one of our favorite spots would be opening up in Industry City. With many businesses closing up shop, it’s lovely news when you find out that a shop is doing well enough to grow in this competitive borough. With their reputation, it’s not at all surprising that they are thriving and ready to branch out!
