The anniversary for the date Hurricane Sandy hit New York in 2012 is coming up. We can’t believe that it was almost five years ago that our neighborhood of Red Hook was practically underwater. The memory of our amazing community coming together and helping one another remains strongest in our minds and hearts!
Red Hook is commemorating this date with a large scale video installation that will be going up at the Red Hook Library beginning this Thursday. The important events for this exhibit are below. Read a snippet from the flyer at the bottom of this blog for more info.
• Thursday 10/26 – OPENING with comments from special guests – 6-8 pm – Library• Saturday 10/28 – ROUND TABLE RESILIENCY DISCUSSION – 1:30 – 4:30 pm. This discussion will include resiliency experts, electeds and local advocates and is open to all – Library
• Saturday 10/28 – AFTER PARTY & EXHIBIT – 5PM–7:30PM at Rood Gallery 373 Van Brunt Street
