Red Hook Fundraiser/Meet and Greet with Genesis Aquino!

Realty Collective hosted a meet and greet on Sunday with a woman named Genesis Aquino who is running for district leader in order to be an active voice that truly represents all residents of the 51st AD. She will work to establish transparency in our Brooklyn Democratic Party & to ensure that all residents have a voice in the political process.
Genesis migrated as a child from the Dominican Republic and was raised in Sunset Park, where her family have been residing permanently since 1960s.
Genesis attended public schools in the district and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work & Urban Community Development from CUNY. She has spent her professional life directly serving her community whether advocating for housing rights, immigrants, education equality, labor rights or reproductive justice. We were very happy to introduce her to the Red Hook community.
