Our very favorite place to watch outdoor films is Red Hook Flicks, and this isn’t just because it’s in our hood. Delicious treats nearby, a gorgeous view and lack of claustrophobia-inducing crowds all contribute to our love for this series. They have recently announced their schedule, which is filled with 80’s gems, and the first screening is on July 9th! You can view the films on their list here.
Other flicks showing around Brooklyn include Movies With a View in Brooklyn Bridge Park, which is celebrating it’s 20th anniversary, and Movies Under the Stars, which is brought to us by NYC Parks and pops up in parks in all five boroughs.
Outdoor screenings are a summer staple in New York and we are thrilled it’s warm enough to participate in this activity. Get your blankets, chairs, and snacks and get out there!
