What’s with the Dog Houses on Brooklyn Sidewalks?

We passed by this strange looking dog house in Gowanus the other day and did a double take. What is this strange electronic doggie shelter? It’s called dog parker and basically dog owners pay to use the little houses for when they are running errands around the area.
It’s a sanitized and temperature controlled space that locks and unlocks via membership card or app. One gentleman sitting close by thought it wasn’t very humane but, seeing as though it’s safer than leaving your dog tied up and also guarantees they won’t get too hot, too cold or stuck in the rain, we think a lot of dog owners will love the idea. What’s your opinion?
