With spring weather on the way it brings the memories of strolling down our neighborhood streets during all of the wonderful street festivals that happen in and around our area over the next several months. We can expect a new one in Cobble Hill this June. Make Music New York, the largest music festival in New York, will be adding Cobble Hill to their list of locations this year. They are in the process of finding musicians and local businesses to participate. You can read more below about the festival below and if you’d like to participate in some capacity click here to find out how!
The Court Smith BID Formation Effort is partnering with The Atlantic Avenue BID to host one of this summer’s Weekend Walks. Streets come alive in a new way thanks to the City of NY and the Weekend Walks program.
Date: Thursday, June 21, 2018
Location: Court Street between Atlantic Avenue and Wyckoff Street
Time: 5pm – 9pm (on Court Street); all day on Atlantic Avenue and side streetsWhile it’s not an actual “weekend walk” we will be celebrating the summer solstice and combining our fun with the June 21st Make Music New York festival. Make Music NY is in its 12th year and is billed as “the largest music event ever to grace Gotham” (Metro New York). There will be over a 1,000 free concerts in public spaces, all over the five boroughs on that day, and our piece of Brooklyn will be participating this year.
