The holiday season is officially here and it is time to get your Secret Santa something special! While you could find something on Amazon in five minutes you could also go on an adventure and meet with the makers of a handcrafted gift. The holiday markets in NYC offer consumers the opportunity to find that vintage item, soy candle or delicious gourmet good from a local business. While many visit the well-established markets of Union Square, Bryant Park and Columbus Circle, you could also take a neighborhood stroll and visit a Brooklyn-based holiday market. It is a great way to support local businesses and run into your friends. I’m excited that Rough Draft which I blogged about last year will be co-hosting at their space and many of their talented members will be selling their goods. There is a great selection in Brooklyn, and this is just a brief list of the many markets happening in Kings county . Also, you can stop by the Brooklyn Flea and then go to the new ABC home in Industry City in one day!
