Emergency Rent Assistance Program Application Form Closing January 20

If you’re still behind on rent since March 2020, there are still resources out there to help – but you should act fast.

The deadline to apply for the Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) is this Friday, January 20th 2023 by 9 PM.

According to cuffh.org, The Emergency Rental Assistance Program is the strongest protection we have to keep people in their homes because as soon as you apply for ERAP, you start to get protections from evictions and your landlord cannot move forward with your eviction. Once you are accepted to the program, ERAP provides twelve months of back rent and three months of future rent if you qualify. This program is open to all New Yorkers with current rent debt, including people without immigration status, without leases, and with high amounts of rent debt. Any tenant with rent debt in New York should consider applying to the ERAP program.

You can apply here or by calling 311 and asking for “ERAP.”
