Celebrating Our 15th By Giving Back: Residency Unlimited

As a part of our 15th Anniversary celebration and thank you to Brooklyn, we’ve selected 15 non-profit organizations to highlight that are doing work in our borough—or directly helping our fellow Brooklynites. We encourage everyone to learn a bit about the people making our community stronger and, if possible, to join us in making a small monetary donation to further their work. We thank them for everything they do and thank you for supporting a small, woman-owned Brooklyn business for the past 15 years!

Our final place in the spotlight this year goes to Residency Unlimited (RU), a “non-profit art organization that supports the creation, presentation and dissemination of contemporary art through its unique residency program and year-round public programs.”

Headquartered in our beloved Carroll Gardens at the South Congregational Church, RU provides “customized residencies for international and local artists and curators in New York City focused on network support, project/production assistance, and public exposure.” It has never been easy to be a working artist in New York City, but it’s never been more critical to support them either.

In addition to their work in Brooklyn, RU now offers listings for worldwide opportunities on their platform, Rivet. It’s free to both organizations and artists seeking residencies.

We’re sincerely thankful to RU for making so many artists’ dreams to live or work in New York City a reality.
