Saturday October 8th marked the Annual 2016 Bed Stuy Alive! week-long festival. Restoration Plaza hosted the 8th Annual Tohma Y. Falkner award ceremony honoring some of Bed Stuy’s heroines that are doing some awesome community work and making a difference in the community. Though the kick-off gala already took place you still have 4 days to participate in the festivals fun family activities, including the opportunity to meet neighborhood community based organizations that focus on housing, social services, recreation and arts and cultural. Every year the Bed Stuy Food Court keeps growing and you will be able to taste some great selections from some of the best restaurants Bed Stuy has to offer. And if you are ready to party, Restoration Rocks! will be hosting a dance summit and concert series featuring some of the community’s most talented and emerging artist.
