You can add another event to your calendar for this weekend. The annual Brooklyn Kite Festival is tomorrow from 11am-3pm. Now we’ll be in Red Hook for Ready Red Hook Day, but we’re so sorry to miss some of these other great events going on the very same day. The Kite Festival at Pier 1 of Brooklyn Bridge Park is an especially fun one and hopefully the weather will allow for some good flying. It’s supposed to rain later in the day but should be okay in the morning. You can buy a kite on site or bring your own. Bring on the wind!
