This really is a big weekend for the Red Hook and Columbia Waterfront District. So many events. We blogged about the Fall Festival Saturday. We normally have a booth but this year we have another event that we’re involved in which is very important going on the same day. It’s Ready Red Hook Day and the information is below. We’ll be there and if you live in or have a business in Red Hook, we hope you’ll be there too.

All over Red Hook!!
The day features a walk through for Red Hook’s Emergency Readiness Plan at neighborhood support locations. You’ll have the chance to meet your local agencies and community responders. There will be give-aways for your individual preparedness including a home Go Bag. Find out where you can get a Red Hook Community Readiness Plan pamphlet for your home.
Visit any of the following four locations in any order between 10 A.M and 12 noon:
• Visitation Church, 98 Richards Street
• IKEA, 1 Beard Street
• Red Hook Initiative, 767 Hicks Street
• Good Shepherd Services/Miccio Community Center, 110 West 9th Street
Join us for food, music and prizes at the AFTER PARTY at P.S. 15 playground from noon – 2 PM.!
Free shuttle between locations will be provided.
