Red Hook library renovations meeting tonight.

There will be a community board 6 meeting tonight pertaining to the coming renovations for the Red Hook library. The agenda is posted below as well as what to expect after the library is complete. As usual, public is always welcome to attend these meetings so if you’d like to learn more, show up tonight at 6pm. The meeting will be held at the library, 7 Wolcott Street.
Meeting Agenda
Presentation and review of a Certificate of Appropriateness application submitted to the
Landmarks Preservation Commission for the legalization of replacement windows and
painting of front elevation at 168 Court Street (between Congress/Amity Streets), Cobble
Hill Historic District.
Presentation and review of a proposal by the Brooklyn Public Library and SpaceWorks for
alterations to the Red Hook branch library at 7 Wolcott Street (between Dwight/Richards
Streets).
Changes for Library
• New dedicated children’s space
• New toddler area
• New adult general reading space and dedicated quite reading space
• New public access to garden
• All new furniture and 12 new computers
• 2 new public restrooms
• New information desk
• New shelving (collection will remain same size)
• 2 new multi-purpose rooms
