Press release about the opening of our new Clinton Hill office!

Realty Collective to Open Clinton Hill Office

Grand Avenue Location to Be Realty Collective’s Fourth Brooklyn Office –

BROOKLYN, NY – April 22, 2014 – Realty Collective, a Brooklyn-based residential and commercial real estate brokerage, announced the upcoming opening of its fourth office, to be based in Clinton Hill. The ribbon-cutting and grand opening will be held Sunday, April 27th, at the 466 Grand Avenue office.

In keeping with its mission of promoting local business and sustainable practices, the real estate brokerage is spreading its branches into another community that mirrors its values. With a diverse, passionate, and seasoned staff, Realty Collective brings will spread its commitment to honest service to this historic Brooklyn neighborhood.

Through her studies earning a master’s degree in Historic Preservation from Pratt Institute, Realty Collective founder Victoria Hagman has spent years exploring Clinton Hill. She continues to work closely with her colleagues at Pratt in city planning and community development issues. The new Grand Avenue office will be within the planned Business Improvement District planned for Clinton Hill and Fort Greene.

Hagman founded Realty Collective with the belief that agents should live in the communities where they work. Clients often remark that their agents “seem to know everybody” in their neighborhoods. Need to know where to shop, eat, walk your dog? How loud that bar is on weekends? Or what is happening in the next year or so in your area? Realty Collective’s agents know, because they live there, too.

Hence, the new office: “Over the past few years, our agents have been migrating into Clinton Hill, Bed Stuy and Crown Heights. So have our listings,” says Hagman. “It just made sense to open a branch closer to the action.”

And there is plenty of action in pedestrian-friendly Clinton Hill. “Walking From Clinton Avenue to Myrtle you can experience cuisine from all over the world. From the Mediterranean flair of Olea & Zaytoons, to Soco & Maggie Brown’s down home, southern cooking, to Cuban eatery Pilar – Clinton Hill is a food paradise,” says Hagman. “The proximity to the BAM Cultural Center, flea markets, boutiques and bookstores mean never having to leave the neighborhood to enjoy everything Brooklyn has to offer.”

The new office also will serve clients in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Crown Heights, Fort Greene and Prospect Heights.

About Realty Collective

Brooklyn-based real estate brokerage Realty Collective, http://realtycollective.com/, was founded in 2005 by agents who believed that dedicated professionals can have a creative life outside of their residential and commercial real estate careers, and that brokers with this kind of connection to their own creativity can, in turn, better serve their clientele. Like many Brooklynites, Realty Collective’s agents are also sculptors, dancers, producers, photographers, musicians, filmmakers, and writers.

In an increasingly automated world, the Realty Collective team maintains a hands-on approach, creating a personalized experience for each client. As a result, many of the Realty Collective clients are repeat customers, or arrive through referrals. Realty Collective partners with Brooklyn-based agencies and charities, to help build a better Brooklyn, for all.
