Big news for Red Hook this week!!! June 1st will mark the first day the Red Hook ferry will begin running. The very first boat will launch at 6:52 AM. To celebrate this event, PortSide New York will be serving up a free continental breakfast on the historic ship Mary H. Whalen right next to the ferry terminal from 6:30-8:30am (see flyer below). Passengers of the first ferry will receive free champagne, as well, compliments of the Red Hook Star Revue! For more information about the ferry you can read the blurb from the PortSide Newsletter below or click here!
Big transportation news! On June 1, Red Hook will be connected to a city-run, citywide ferry service called NYC Ferry. It costs the same as the subway. There are no free transfers to the subway or bus yet, but you can transfer for free from ferry to ferry within 90 minutes.
