Movies With A View Celebrates Female Directors!

We have been eager to hear about the film line-ups for each of our summer outdoor film series in Brooklyn and extra thrilled when we learned about the plan for Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Movies with a View series. They are celebrating women during their two month long screenings!
The theme for this year’s 8-week-long film series is SHE DIRECTS, and it will celebrate the work of women, trans-women, and genderqueer directors. The lineup includes classics like Susan Seidelman’s Desperately Seeking Susan, and recent hits like Patty Jenkins’s Wonder Woman. The directors of this year’s shorts and the DJs are all women and trans-women, too.
What a wonderful idea! Smorgasburg is partnering up with Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy so there will be delcious food to snack on while you watch. Read more about the vendors and film schedule here!
