Monday, August 5th, at 11am students participating in the Hook Arts Media film making workshop will be screening their work for the public. This is a wonderful program in Red Hook for the youth of our community, where they not only learn a valuable set of skills but are also getting paid for it. Read more and RSVP here.
In 2013, Hook Arts Media collaborated with Red Hook Initiative, the South Brooklyn Community High School, and Good Shepherd Services to launch a summer filmmaking intensive called Digital Boot Camp. Digital Boot Camp provides local teens and young adults with 80 hours of rigorous instruction in digital filmmaking. The program culminates in several mini-documentaries about local businesses and social service organizations.
