Opening on Monday in a giant warehouse at 514 Union Street, is the Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club. Picture a hip bar and bowling alley but substitute the bowling lanes for shuffleboard lanes and there you have it. Sounds like fun for sure and we’ll try it. This venture started as a kickstarter and with a $20,200 goal they received more than double that, so there are definitely some interested people. There’s an article in the NY Times with lots of pics and the history of the game that’s pretty interesting. Hours of operation aren’t posted yet on their website last time we checked but I’m sure they’ll be updating that soon. For now you can follow them on their facebook page for the latest info.
