“Blanco” TV Pilot filming in Red Hook today.

We saw this posting over the weekend letting Red Hook residents know that the filming of a TV pilot called “Blanco” will be shooting in the neighborhood tomorrow and that parking will be limited starting tonight. A list of streets is on the sheet above if this effects you. We looked up this pilot out of curiosity and found out that it’s a drama for Cinemax starring Shiloh Fernandez and directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (28 Days Later). It centers on Ruben (Fernandez), an uptown gangster — nicknamed Blanco for being a light-skinned Dominican — who uses his status as a confidential informant to turn the tables on law enforcement and build his criminal empire.
