3 day Brooklyn Folk Festival begins tonight.

Tonight at 8pm the weekend long Brooklyn Folk Festival will commence.  With 30 bands featuring “the best in old-time string-band music, folk, blues, song writers, jug band, bluegrass, and traditional Irish and Balkan music” this should be a really fun event.  This is the 7th year this event has taken place and, since it has been growing in size every year, it has had to move to a larger venue.  This year it will take place at St. Ann’s Church at 157 Montague in Brooklyn Heights.  It’s very kid friendly (they even have square dancing for families!).  For more information and tickets visit their website.
