I was recently featured in a New York Weekly piece from the Dreamers & Doers community on the mindset shifts that actually change how founders and CEOs lead.
Not the big dramatic ones, the small quiet ones that we barely seem to notice in the moment. The daily choices about how you show up.
Mine was about presence. For years I mistook efficiency for care. Move fast, close clean, keep everyone on schedule. But that’s not what my clients actually need from me.
Here’s how I put it in the piece:
“What we’re really navigating isn’t a transaction, but a transition. The shift made me better at supporting my clients because I stopped mistaking efficiency for care.”
Nobody buys or sells a home in a vacuum. There’s a divorce, a new baby, a death, a second act. When I make space to name what’s actually at stake for each person in a sale, and let that answer change as the deal moves, the work gets better. So does the outcome.
The article features a whole roster of women founders on how they’ve re-thought urgency, self-trust, and visibility. Worth your time.
