Frozen Treats in Red Hook.

The weather has been relatively cool but the heat is returning this weekend.  Many of you know that when you’re in Red Hook you can stop by Steve’s Authentic and get a frozen swingle to cool you down.  If you don’t know, a swingle is a tiny key lime pie dipped in chocolate.  Wait, there’s more! It’s then frozen on a popsicle stick so you can eat it on the go. It is the ultimate.  But have you heard of King Leche Creme Bars?  We saw these signs fro frozen treats pointing in opposite directions.  Ice Pops, or Paletas, at 61 Commerce and King Leche at 160 Commerce.  Kind Leche has been serving frozen pops and ice cream sandwiches at Red Hook Flicks and they come in a variety of unique flavors, such as fried green tomatoes and cornbread. Intrigued yet? Stop by The Apothecary at 160 Coffey to quench your curiosity!
